Power-point parking at Oaks Gateway Townsville

NSW → QLD Road Trip 2022–23

We checked in at Oaks Gateway Townsville and discovered that some parking spots have power points. Very convenient for overnight charging. Thank you Oaks!

Can cables get stolen? Is there some sort of alarm system?

  Jo Phillips Once the car starts charging the cable is locked to the car and can only be removed with the car fob/key or by physically destroying the car socket or the plug or the cable.

  Jo Phillips See Ralph’s answer ☺️. I think, at worst, they could detach the plug (10A or 15A) from the cable and steal just the plug. If they turned off the power point or unplugged, I think the app would send you a push notification that it has stopped charging. And Sentry Mode would have recorded them doing it.
