Charging from a power point at Motel Views

We stayed overnight at “Motel Views #Yackandandah”. Scenic setting and town. Our host, Jackie, was happy for us to plug in overnight to charge. She said they have talked about adding wall chargers, but for now offered us a power point near reception, which was very kind. No extra cost ☺️.

There’s also a 50kW fast charger in town, which we used for 15 minutes while waiting for our takeaway Thai order from Grace's Place Cafe Yackandandah.

Next, heading through Beechworth towards the east of Melbourne.

You could have lunch at the Beechworth Brewery, they’ve just installed some Tesla chargers too!

Golly you do get around! Heading back into Victoria after going to Fully Charged. Yackandandah has a flourishing community that’s well down the renewables path. They have their own local renewable electricity company that shares power from locals’ home or business generation as well as owning generation assets collectively. They are in the electorate that has elected two independent federal MPs for the last few elections.
