Transporting a bike, and an electric wheel

Random job to transport a bicycle, plus extra electric wheel, for a friend. It fit no problem, with the back seat down.

We plan to one day buy a couple of e-bikes. I suspect we will investigate a rear rack for the car, rather than stuff them in the back. Our Model 3 is sleek and quick, but doesn’t have as much boot room as say the Tesla Model Y.

  1. EV Towing Australia have a great bar for the 3 and Y. Aussie owned, made and plug & play integrates. Bike rack’s the way to go. Nick

    1. Nick Hannay Thanks. Have you had one fitted? Or do you work there?

      1. Tesla Tripping nick doesn’t work for us, but he’s getting one of our bars when we can match our schedules together to get one fitted to his MY.

We (EV Towing Australia) have followed your posts for a while & would love to work with you if you ever needed a towbar for either of your Tesla’s.

      2. Tesla, I’m watching everyone else being happy with their bars and haven’t been able to lineup getting mine fitted. I’m at the wrong place wrong time, happily for I’m rural.

  2. Even the Y is not enough for two full sized bikes with front wheel off, needing to take the seat back down. Roof or rear hitch are solutions. Otherwise my full sized Montague (700c) folder as well as Tern 20” folder bikes can easily fit into the trunk without affecting the rear seat. They have become my go-to bikes for around town eg. When dropping the car off to the workshop/garage for various reasons.
